Ulyana Turchenko, born in 1980 in Lviv, Ukraine, graduated from the Lviv State College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Ivan Trush. Since 2014, she has been living and working in Stargard, Poland.
The artist works in stone lithography, painting, and drawing. Her art combines Symbolism and Fantastic Realism, enriched with surreal and mythological motifs. Figures, animals, and plants intertwine and often transform into one another, revealing deep philosophical meanings. Inspired by mythology, Ulyana creates symbolic worlds where mythical and real characters coexist, and the dynamic interplay of vibrant colors and subtle shades makes the images appear and disappear before the viewer’s eyes.
