Magic is woven into the fabric of our world—found in whispered spells, sacred rituals, cosmic forces, and the quiet mysteries of nature. It exists in the liminal spaces between the known and the unknown, in ancient symbols and modern technology, in the hands of mystics, seers, witches, and wanderers.
For this year’s Portrait Show, we invite artists to explore magic in all its forms—from esoteric traditions and occult practices to elemental energies and everyday enchantments. Portraiture offers a portal into the unseen, a way to capture the spirit of the magician, the alchemist, the oracle, the healer, the enchanter, or the unknowable power itself. Whether inspired by folklore, historical figures, personal visions, or the forces of nature, bring forth a portrait that channels the mystical.
In the tradition of our annual portrait exhibition, we are once again opening up for submissions from our extended community of artists. There is no cost to submit. Our goal is to provide this entry point for new artists each year as part of our ongoing effort to support and grow our community of figurative painters.
