Dan Cohen is a classically trained painter, sculptor and muralist. His work has been shown at galleries and events around the world – and on many buildings and walls.
Dan’s influences include world mythologies, sci-fi, fantasy, philosophy and anything lying on the fringes of the known. His signature elements – beautifully rendered forms, archetypal symbolism, Alien Deco designs – bridge the past and future, magic and technology.
In addition to his gallery work, Dan’s murals and installations can be found on buildings, in public spaces, and at cultural institutions nationwide. He has collaborated with city agencies, nonprofit organizations, designers, and developers to create site-specific, community-responsive works that enhance and reimagine shared environments. His projects include commercial murals, trompe l'oeil façades, mural restoration, and scenic design, with an emphasis on place-making and storytelling.
He currently lives in Portland, OR.
