Sirius

Wanderlust is an international group exhibition inspired by travel, far-away places, adventurous experiences and fascinating destinations. Participating artists were given identical postcards and asked to create a unique piece for the show inspired by the theme “wanderlust”. Travel via boat, plane, foot, and yes, even jellyfish to your favorite destination in this eclectic and imaginative exhibition!

David Camisa spent the majority of his formative years with his head in a comic book. He attributes that childhood  obsession as the catalyst for his passion for art and the realization that he didn’t want to pursue a career doing anything else. Exposure to a variety of art styles over the years allowed him to find inspiration in everything from animation to art nouveau, drawing on a number of styles and techniques to create work with his own signature look and feel. Now residing in Vancouver, BC, David’s surreal paintings feature dynamic characters whose dramatic tales explore emotion, relationships, and the world around us.
