Zoë Rayne is an oil painter living and painting in Wurundjeri country, in the Dandenong Ranges of Victoria, Australia. She graduated from the National Art School, Sydney, in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Art in painting. With a deep connection to the more-than-human world, Zoë has always felt called to depict humanity’s inherent inseparability from nature. A painter of the liminal, Zoë strives to portray a sense of mystery and the otherworldly in her work. Her paintings are a reclamation of old ways found in myth, story and folklore, intertwined with her own explorations of queerness, ritual, kink and eco-sexuality.
