Julia Lundman is a mixed media fantasy painter. Her work draws on all of the mysterious worlds she read  about and drew as a child, fairies, myth, legends, animals. Lundman revisits these characters and landscapes from the perspective of her experiences as an adult, retelling beloved subjects with deep personal nuance, love of history, and folklore with narrative compositions.

Lundman believes in honoring her intuition through sketchbook practice. All of her paintings flow from these sketches into paintings. She works in her San Francisco studio daily experimenting with historical methods learned from years of study at traditional ateliers, utilizing non toxic, water based materials. No AI is ever used in her process.

Julia Lundman’s paintings are in private collections in the US and internationally. Her work has been published in Infected by Art, volumes 8, 9, 10 and 11, and Imagine FX magazine.
