Erika Sanada graciously invited us to her new studio where she is busy at work on pieces for her latest solo show, Flock at the gallery this September. 

This year will be our first year since 2011 without our annual Portrait show in June. Since we started the yearly tradition in 2012, it's been one of my favorite shows of the year, one that I am most "hands-on" with as a curator. I love portraiture and look forward to this exhibition each year. Portraits have always been one of the most traditional methods of painting, and each year I work to come up with a new concept that celebrates this tradition, while introducing a theme that appeals to fans of our genre. 

Last Saturday, we opened the doors to Glenn Arthur's solo show, Succlusion. As always, Glenn showcases his inclination toward gloriously stylized features and an art nouveau inspired graphic sensibility. Thank you to those who joined us for the opening reception!

This month, we are elated to have Glenn Arthur presenting his solo show Succlusion, a collection of decadent beauty and fantasy inspired by nature. Back in the fall, when Glenn had just begun the series, we had the opportunity to interview him about inspiration, process, and his motto that "Practice makes proficient". 

In honor of our showHeavy Metal Lover, here is a chance to get familiar with the artists. All are members of The PRISMA Collective which is a hand selected group of 30 international artists led by painter and curator, Kaspian Shore. Since the group formed in 2011, they have been regularly showing work at various galleries and exhibition spaces around the world.

Diabolica, the latest solo exhibition of new works by gallery artist Leilani Bustamante is on view now through March 26. The show has been incredibly well received, and we are grateful to the many fans, patrons, and artists that made it to the opening reception. This occasion also marked the unveiling of Megan Buccere's latest series Oil & Dust.

Sheri DeBow has graced our gallery once again for her showReturn of the Bubblegum Princess. Her dolls are intricately crafted with the same love and passion that is seen when looking at them. Sheri draws great inspiration from the love and joy that her family brings to her life and the fabulous eccentricity that makes her who she is.

We are pleased to present Oil & Dust, a mini solo exhibition of new works by Megan Buccere this March at the gallery. This new series will showcase this exciting artist with small works in the medium of (oil) paint and pastel (dust). We asked Megan a few questions about the exhibition specifically and about her artistic process in general. 

Sarah Joncas is a Toronto based artist who has been showing in galleries since she was 16 years old. Her work has matured into a fine combination of highly skilled realism and whimsically graphic beauty. The following interview delves into her process, perfectionism, and continuous growth.
