J L King was born in San Francisco, California, and raised in a large multiethnic family. As a child. her early exposure to an artist's life left a wide range of long-lasting impressions, ultimately encouraging her first career pursuits in health and science. However, she always maintained a creative practice in different mediums before committing her focus to oil painting. Exploring awe inspiring and playful ways to connect with the world we live in is a daily endeavor. Jennifer practices her art from her studio in the historic Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco, California.
