Dan Cohen is a classically trained painter, sculptor and muralist. His work has been shown at galleries and events around the world – and on many buildings and walls.
Dan’s influences include world mythologies, sci-fi, fantasy, philosophy and anything lying on the fringes of the known. His signature elements – beautifully rendered forms, archetypal symbolism, Alien Deco designs – bridge the past and future, magic and technology.
In addition to his Gallery Work, he has worked with designers, private developers & public agencies throughout the country. In his three decade career, he has created site-specific art installations, worked on large scale commercial murals, trompe l’oeil architectural murals, scenic design, and mural restoration. He has been involved with nonprofit and community based arts organizations, helping to beautify shared spaces.
He currently lives in Portland, OR.
