Daryll Peirce is an artist whose intricately rendered works explore the psychological and metaphysical terrain of the human experience. Drawing from an internalized response to the physical world, his practice delves into themes of anxiety, self-imposed pressure, and the imaginative escape found within the depths of the mind, often visualized through dense, surreal compositions he refers to as his “anxiety garden.” Beyond the personal, Peirce’s work reflects a fascination with the unseen forces that connect all living things, contemplating the liminal space between matter and energy, and the ties that bind individuals to each other, the natural world, and the broader universe. Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, he has been based in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2005, after completing his art education in Denver, Colorado.
