Mixed Metaphor

Diana Laufer is an artist who works in a variety of media. She is a Saori weaver, textile artist, painter and collage artist. But she always returns to her first love: assemblage and dioramas.

Ms. Laufer studied art, set design, graphic design and architecture at UC Berkeley graduating with a degree in design. She worked as an art director and graphic designer for advertising and packaging within the entertainment industry. Diana has written and illustrated 2 award winning children's books published by Penguin Random House. She has also designed sets for an independent Los Angeles theater company. All the while creating her whimsical dioramas in her art practice.
