"My name is Carly Janine Mazur, an illustrator based out of Connecticut. I work traditionally--my primary media being oil over acrylic. My greatest joy is experimentation, pushing the limits of a medium and seeing what potential it has to create different effects I can use in my work. Because of this I am known to not be exclusive to oils and acrylics, but to branch out and use whatever I deem necessary to achieve the desired look I need for a particular piece. However, though my techniques may range piece to piece, one constant is I love rendering the human figure. Juxtaposing the figure against more textured, designed backgrounds, and making it work, is why I love to paint."
This piece will be on exhibit through June 7, 2014 and will be shipped within a week of the exhibition closing date. Shipping costs will be invoiced separately at the time of shipment for this piece.
