Gallery Coordinator (Part-Time)

Title: Gallery Coordinator

Hours: Part-time (6–21 hours/week as needed)

Reports to: Gallery Directors

Working Relationships: Maintains positive relationships with gallery directors, artists, vendors, patrons, and visitors.

Position Details:
Modern Eden Gallery seeks a professional, reliable part-time gallery coordinator for a minimum of 6 hours/week, with specific availability on Sundays and up to 21 hours/week for event setup, artwork installation, order management, and media production.

Compensation: $18–$22/hour DOE, no direct benefits, onsite only.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
The Gallery Coordinator will be responsible for interfacing with the public, clients, and artists, managing retail and customer service duties such as opening and closing the gallery on Saturdays, answering calls, and providing online assistance. They will handle shipping and receiving of artwork, maintain the gallery's cleanliness and organization, assist in exhibition setup and breakdown, and contribute to digital content and marketing efforts. This flexible role will be tailored to the candidate's skills, and gap training will be provided as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Interest in contemporary art, excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Experience with or willingness to learn e-commerce platforms, retail POS systems, social media content creation, and handling fragile artwork. Willing to grow your career path by helping grow the business.
