    • Sheila Flaherty is an Irish painter whose work explores interior life through the human figure. Her often large-scale oil paintings are quiet, psychologically charged, and often drawn from personal experience. Working with self-shot references, she constructs scenes that sit between realism and theatre — private moments rendered with intense focus and emotional weight.

Her work has been recognized internationally, receiving awards including the IBEX Artist’s Dream Fund, the Cindy Cottrell Art Prize, and the Almenara Art Prize. Exhibitions include the Museum of Modern European Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in London, Summer and Grace Gallery and James Baird Gallery in Canada, and Gallery Stefan Stumpf in Munich. Her debut solo show will take place in Germany in 2026.
