Regina Kanahuati, "As a young Mexican artist, aged 19, my artistic journey has led me to embrace the captivating realm of realist painting. With nearly a decade of experience in this medium, I have been fortunate to receive a diverse and enriching education that has shaped my artistic sensibilities.
During my formative years, I had the privilege of learning from esteemed local Mexican artists who imparted upon me a deep appreciation for the realist approach.
Seeking to broaden my artistic horizons, I embarked on a transformative path in 2020. Through online courses at the renowned Grand Central Atelier in New York City, I delved into the rich tapestry of academic methods, honing my technical skills while also exploring the conceptual aspects of my work. This pivotal experience opened new avenues of artistic expression and laid a solid foundation for my growth as an artist.
In 2022 this exploration led me to the Barcelona Academy of Art, where I immersed myself in an intensive program encompassing painting and sculpture. Guided by accomplished instructors . Afterwards, I embarked on a profound artistic journey, seeking to harmonize concept and technique within my work.
Continuously dedicated to my craft, I strive to transcend the boundaries of traditional realism, blending technical proficiency with conceptual depth. With each brushstroke, my aim is to evoke emotions, ignite imagination, and offer viewers a unique perspective on the human experience.
I have exhibited in Mexican museums as an emerging artist in individual spaces and collective exhibitions at MAQRO (Museo de Arte de Querétaro), as well, I participated in a collective exhibition at Mrs. Toolip Art Gallery, Barcelona."
