  • About the ExhibitionThe Zealot’s Elixir is a group show curated by Doubleparlour. All work is in sculpture or three­dimensional form in a variety of mediums including ceramic, resin, wood, and found objects. The impressive roster of artists includes international artists as well as many from the thriving local Bay Area community. They were chosen by Doubleparlour because of their work holds emotional and intellectual qualities that engage the viewer, as well as a commitment to perfecting their craft. The theme of the show is based false prophets and snake oil. The artists each present a unique interpretation on this theme that embodies trickery, faith, hope, and lies.
  • Sheri DeBow creates emotive and intricate dolls and sculptures from clay and various mixed media materials. Never using molds or taking shortcuts, each piece is a unique result of meticulous creation. As a student, she worked and studied under sculptor Franco Vianello, Phil Cornelius, Michael Maday, Professor Sakaguchi, Richard Carter and Sensei Kusakabe. She now works as a full-time artist and mom to five children in California’s Napa Valley. Sheri DeBow’s work has been featured twice on the cover of Art Doll Quarterly and most recently in Beautiful Bizarre Magazine. Her highly-collected dolls have received accolades and honors across the globe.

  • This piece will be on exhibit through March 7, 2015 and will be shipped within a week of the exhibition closing date.
