"I was born in Cherepovets, Russia and spent my childhood growing up in Ukraine before my mother and I immigrated to the United States when I was 6 years old. I fell in love with art before I could form complete sentences and discovered my passion for oils about five years ago. I enjoy sharing videos of my art and creative process on my youtube channel which currently has over 85,000 subscribers. The center of my work changes along with my fascinations and life, though I have always been deeply inspired by natural elements and the female form. I'm constantly learning and doing my best to grow. I learn best by experimentation, which is what makes painting so exciting for me, just allowing the brush and paint take you somewhere interesting and ending up somewhere new and unexpected. I always feel connected to my work." ~ Lena Danya
I decided to paint 3 great friends. A Marmot, my friend John and Hodor (from Game of Thrones). The painting is based on a Photoshop I did of my friend that I did for a weekly GoT gathering. I jammed a marmot in there because that is what I do. It's all in good fun.
